Medicine bottles

Collection of medicine bottles sitting on my dental cabinet. They include a large jar my grandfather used to keep a liquor in with snakes that he drank from regularly. There’s a jar with Belladonna ( Beautiful Lady ) , a drug that can cause hallucinations, also called Deadly Nightshade. There’s also a jar of Coca Cola when there was actually Coca leaves in the syrup.

The stories are great, they give everything a glow, a traveling medicine show feeling. Somehow you must make the stories part of the art: captioned photographs? Or not, but they do give the objects life!

Thanks. Glad you came by to see what I’m doing. This is only a few weeks in the making. Any suggestions are welcome. I’m a still life photographer so it’s great you see the life in what I’m shooting.
